Biography

Mr. Drewry is a partner in the Business Solutions, Restructuring & Financial Litigation Section. He currently advises businesses, ranging from family owned businesses to Fortune 500 Companies, as well as individuals, on a wide variety of legal issues. Before joining the firm, he worked with the Office of the Attorney General in the Commonwealth of Virginia, where he represented state agencies and political subdivisions in administrative matters and civil litigation. He has experience handling all facets of litigation in state and federal courts and is experienced with general governance matters, including compliance with the Freedom of Information Act and other Commonwealth-required statutes, as well as administrative matters such as regulatory review and appeals. Mr. Drewry has handled various regulatory and compliance issues within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
 
Mr. Drewry also has a special focus in sports law and on legislation, regulation, and compliance in rapidly emerging industries, including gaming and cannabis, which have garnered significant public attention and increasing private interest.
 
Before graduating from the University of Richmond School of Law, Mr. Drewry served as a Governor's Fellow in the Commonwealth of Virginia and as a legal intern for the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. He has also worked with the Atlantic 10 Conference and the NBA’s Indiana Pacers.
