Gardner Duvall to Serve As President of the Maryland Defense Counsel

Whiteford, Taylor and Preston L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Gardner Duvall will be the President of the Maryland Defense Counsel for 2004-2005. The Maryland Defense Counsel is an organization of civil defense attorneys that promotes defense interests, the efficiency of the legal system, and fair and equal treatment under the law. Mr. Duvall will assume the office at the MDC meeting on June 9, 2004. Mr. Duvall is a partner in the firm's Product Liability Practice Group. He received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1986 and his B.A., cum laude, from Tulane University in 1983. Mr. Duvall is a member of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. Since 2000 he has been the coordinator for BikeJam, an annual fundraiser to help the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital. Mr. Duvall is admitted to practice in Maryland, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United State District Court for the District of Maryland.
