Webinar: New Federal Overtime Regulations Take Effect January 1st: What Employers Need to Know
New regulations governing overtime exemptions under the Fair Labor Standards Act will take effect on January 1, 2020. Among other changes, the new regulations will significantly increase the salary amount that must be paid to exempt administrative, executive, and professional employees in order for those employees to qualify for an exemption to the Act’s overtime requirement, with the required weekly salary amount increasing from $455 to $684.
