Associations Creating Community - Interview with Shelly Alcorn and Elizabeth Engel
Date: December 19, 2023
Speakers:
Jefferson C. Glassie, FASAE
Elizabeth and Shelly emphasize how important it is for association executives to understand the scope and extent of the impact of climate disruption on their various large and small communities. They also emphasize in the white paper the wide range of options available to associations to support their respective and concentric communities, and their recommendation that associations develop communities of practice to assist in these efforts. Allowing association executives keys and insights into conduct, actions, and practices that others are undertaking to make adoption of important steps easier and more productive is critical to success. This discussion relates to perhaps the most important community to which we all belong, the human race, and illustrates how connected we all are and how concerted action is important to protect our important communities.
