Bradford F. Englander, Experienced Bankruptcy Attorney, Joins Whiteford, Taylor & Preston's Falls Church Office

Baltimore - Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP (WTP) is delighted to announce that Bradford F. Englander has joined the firm as a partner in its Business Reorganizations and Bankruptcy practice in Falls Church, Virginia.  Prior to joining WTP, Englander was a partner with Linowes and Blocher LLP in Bethesda, Maryland.

Englander enjoys a reputation for superior representation of debtors, creditor committees, lenders and other parties, and has served as Chapter 11 Trustee and plan administrator in bankruptcy cases and receiverships involving operating companies, government contractors, retailers, construction and home builders, airlines, hotels, radio and television stations, telecommunications providers, manufacturing concerns and oil refineries.  He concentrates his practice on Chapter 11 reorganizations, workouts, restructurings and creditors rights litigation, and has extensive experience in real estate Chapter 11 cases as counsel for debtors, lenders, and other parties.

Admitted to practice in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, Englander is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Walter Chandler Chapter of the American Inns of Court.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association.  Englander was listed among Maryland's Super Lawyers for Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights in 2009.  He is a former law clerk to the Honorable Robert R. Beezer, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Seattle, Washington.  Englander is a 1985 graduate of Washington & Lee University School of Law, where he served as the Managing Editor of its Law Review (1984-1985).  He earned his B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1980.
