Baltimore, MD - Harry S. Johnson, Esq., partner in Whiteford, Taylor & Preston's (WTP) Litigation department and a past president of the Maryland State Bar Association, has been appointed as a member of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary. During his three-year appointment, Johnson's work will include evaluation of judicial candidates in the Fourth Circuit (Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina). On occasion, members of the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary also testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee concerning recommendations for federal judicial vacancies, including the Supreme Court.
