Whiteford Adds Experienced Litigator Jorge Marquez in New York

Whiteford is pleased to welcome Jorge Marquez as Counsel in its New York office. Mr. Marquez has over a decade of experience as a litigator in federal and state courts and significant trial experience.

"We’re seeing an increase in litigation matters from New York area clients, along with a rising number of matters in New York courts involving clients from around the firm. We are continuing to build a go-to resource in Midtown Manhattan for middle market clients.”
 
Mr. Marquez has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation including pre-litigation strategy, all areas of discovery, witness prep, oral arguments, hearings, settlement discussions and trial prep. His experience includes supervising and managing a large team of attorneys with their litigation caseload. Before transitioning to private practice, he spent seven years as a Senior Counsel in the Special Federal Litigation Division of the NYC Law Department, as well as two years as a trial Attorney in the Federal Litigation Division of the Puerto Rico Department of Justice.
