WTP Lawyers Contribute Pro Bono Services to "Wills for Heroes"
Baltimore -- Six lawyers from Whiteford Taylor & Preston's Baltimore, Towson and Columbia offices joined lawyers from the Legal Department of Constellation/Exelon and other law firms in the Wills for Heroes (WFH) pro bono clinic on August 1, 2012. The event was held at the Anne Arundel Fire Department Training Academy and served 35 clients without charge.
WFH provides free wills, advance directives, and health care and financial powers of attorney to first responders and their spouses/partners. The foundation was started in response to the tragic events of September 11. Of the 403 first responders who died that day, most did not have a will in place.
The WTP lawyers who participated were: Tami Daniel, John Gontrum, John Hayden, Robert Kalinoski, Jennifer McManus and MaryEllen Willman.
