We represent owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, sureties, and design professionals in the construction industry. Our attorneys regularly draft and negotiate contracts and provide advice to our clients during contract performance through project closeout. We have substantial experience with labor productivity claims and the analysis and pricing of project delays. We also have one of the largest group of LEED-accredited lawyers in the mid-Atlantic region.
When our clients are presented with business opportunities and challenges, our Construction attorneys take an interdisciplinary approach and partner with other practice sections in the firm such as the following: labor and employment, employee benefits and ERISA, emerging business and venture capital, commercial real estate and leasing, succession planning, tax planning, and mergers or liquidation and dissolution. This allows us to offer our clients services and insight from experienced attorneys in a way that "boutique" firms cannot match.
We are active in construction industry organizations and educational programs locally and nationally, and we offer seminars and advice to our clients on pertinent and cutting-edge topics, such as risk management, mold in construction, insurance coverage, bankruptcy, and subrogation issues.
